Petrykivka painting is one of the most celebrated and vibrant forms of Ukrainian folk decorative art. Originating in the village of Petrykivka in central Ukraine, this unique artistic tradition began centuries ago when women decorated the walls of their homes, stoves, furniture, and household items with colorful floral designs.

It became the first element of Ukraine's intangible cultural heritage to receive this prestigious international recognition.
