A one-man play about the life and fate of Vasyl Stus is a confession of a person who chose truth, knowing the cost of that choice. It is not only the story of a poet, but the story of an indomitable spirit, inner freedom, and ultimate responsibility to oneself and to the people.Through words, silence, and inner monologue, the audience follows Stus’s path — from literary evenings in Kyiv to a prison camp cell, from love for his wife and son to the loneliness of solitary confinement, from hope to a martyr’s death. The play’s space is the space of memory, where letters, poems, and diary lines become the voice of the nation’s conscience.
